Just4Kids supporting Redlands children

Just4Kids is proud to be associated with the Hummingbirds Early Intervention and Education Service and has assisted in the set up of the organisation through the provision of expertise, equipment and support to enable the group to purchase a new vehicle to transport young children with intellectual disabilities to and from the Hummingbirds Centre.

Hummingbirds EIES is a unique early learning and long day care program in the Redlands that provides both early intervention child care for families with disabled children and an in-home engagement and outreach service which is designed to directly engage target families in their home environment so as to assist and educate families as to the care and support challenges in the home environment, while also assisting in the transition of children to tailored preschool support and engagement in formal education.

The organisation engages families who are currently isolated and not able to access appropriate care or educational services for their children (or those who are unaware that such services exist) with the aim to provide support to these families to transition their children to these services so as to provide early educational and social benefits that will improve their sense of engagement and overall quality of life. Parents are also be provided resources and support to assist with the development of the home environment and improve their support networks to assist in their ongoing care for their disabled children.

Just4Kids support has been instrumental in Hummingbirds being able to reach double the number of families in need throughout the region over the last two years and we look forward to continuing to support this vital service for many years to come.
