The Just4Kids Motor Trail is a wonderful event that takes entrants to parts of Australia that they would probably never go as a tourist. My wife and I have been involved with the Motor Trail events since the Charity began. We have travelled the back roads, crossed the creeks and rivers and seen the tourist attractions as well as gaining access to areas not available to ordinary tourists. We have also made life long friendships with the people we have met on these adventures. We choose the cabin/motel option when available but don’t mind a night or two in the tent if that is all that is available. The camp kitchen produces wonderful food given the remote locations visited and the limited facilities available. I would certainly recommend the Just4Kids Motor Trail to anyone who wants to travel this vast land but does not want to do it alone.

Our Motor Trail vehicle of choice is a 1964 Ford Falcon sedan which has been highly modified to take on the four wheel drive country through which the Motor Trail passes. It has been north to the Tip of the Cape, West to Darwin and South to the Barossa on these events. Occasionally the car will let us down but we have never, not finished an event thanks to the wonderful support provided by the Just4Kids crew and supporters. They have welded up broken suspension components and provided mechanical expertise to keep the car running and not only get it to the finish line, but get it home to Brisbane again. It never ceases to amaze me how much knowledge is available through this group. This vehicle has completed 13 of these events now and just gets better and stronger every year.
